If it becomes
necessary to delay the opening of school or close school for
inclement weather or due to any other emergency situation that
prohibits the safe operation of school, parents and students should
follow the steps below for information concerning the possibility of
an

delayed opening or a closing:

Any Radio or T.V. announcements concerning a school
closing or a
delayed opening on a given day will hopefully be made before
6:15
A.M. Please
listen and watch from
6:00 A.M.
and beyond as
sometimes a decision to close or delay may not be made until
after
6:15 A.M.
Every attempt will be made
to make a decision by
6:00
A.M.

announcements regarding school opening delays or closing.

Please be aware that
Iona
Grammar School
may have “delayed openings”
due to inclement weather.
Delayed openings will be 90 minute delays.
This means school will open at 9:50 a.m.
Students should not arrive before 9:30 a.m. on a delayed
opening day.
